According to the research conducted by an online food ordering brand (Yemeksepeti), the year 2024, in which record amounts, rapidly growing restaurants and basic needs stand out, once again revealed the diversity of Turkish food culture. Among the popular flavours, chicken doner comes first, while street bagel (simit) and waffle are also among the favourites, with one user ordering 1,619 times throughout the year.
In 2024, the most popular food in Türkiye was Chicken Doner Kebab. While options such as Burger and Pizza remained popular with the influence of global flavours, local flavours such as Lahmacun and Çiğ Köfte also managed to take place in the top 5.
