Turkish olive sector boosts its exports to the US by 56 percent in terms of volume…

The Turkish olive oil sector exported 44,097 tonnes in the nine-month period as it entered the final quarter of the 2024-25 export season.

The country to which the most of the golden liquid was exported was the United States, with 19,041 tonnes. Of every 100 tonnes of olive oil exported by Türkiye, 43 tonnes went to the United States. Türkiye exported 12,344 tonnes of olive oil to the United States in the nine-month period of the 2023/24 season. Türkiye’s olive oil exports to the United States boosted by 54 percent in terms of volume.

The Turkish olive sector is reaping the rewards of the ‘Sectoral Trade Delegation’ it organised to the United States in March 2025. In addition to olive oil, there have also been significant increases in exports of table olives and prina oil to the US.

The Turkish olive sector exported 20,270 tonnes of olive oil, table olives and prina oil to the US between 1 October 2023 – 31 July 2024, it achieved an export volume of 31,565 tonnes in the same period of the 2024-25 season, representing a 56 percent spike.

The Turkish olive sector, which earned Türkiye 480 million dollars in foreign exchange from exports in the 2024/25 season, recorded 118 million dollars in exports to the United States. Thus, the United States is the country to which the Turkish olive sector exports the most, with 25 dollars of every 100 dollars in export revenue coming from the United States…
