Purchasing amount of Turkish Grain Board soared!
Turkish Grain Board (TMO) General Manager Ahmet Güldal said that they made a record purchase of 212 thousand tonnes of crops the previous day.
“TMO has purchased 4 million 450 thousand tonnes of products throughout Türkiye and put them in their warehouses since the day the harvest began. When we consider future appointments and demands, we think that a product of around 10 million tons can come to TMO,” Güldal said.
Turkish Grain Board (TMO) General Manager Ahmet Güldal stated that a record purchase was made with 212 thousand tonnes of products the previous day and indicated that 4 million 450 thousand tonnes of products have entered TMO warehouses since the beginning of the harvest throughout the country.
Güldal also pointed out that half of the harvest season has been completed across the country.
Explaining that he visited Konya province during the days when the purchasing campaign was intense and made on-site inspections, Güldal added, “The year 2023 is fertile, with crops, TMO is experiencing the highest purchase period in its history. We can put more than 200 thousand tonnes of products daily in TMO warehouses throughout Türkiye. When we look at Konya, it is approximately 50 thousand tonnes per day. We buy 1 out of 4 of the country’s total from Konya. There are 82 purchasing points in Konya region.”
