Turkey produced 255,455 tons of red meat in the second three months of this year, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).
The country’s red meat production fell by 4.1 percent year-on-year in the second quarter and it was up 20.8 percent on a quarterly basis.
Turkey’s estimated cattle meat production was around 224,000 tons while sheep meat output was nearly 30,600 tons from April to June, TurkStat data showed.
Last year, the country produced 1.12 million tons of red meat, a drop of 0.7 percent from production in 2017.
