The target is to boost Turkish salmon exports to over 1 billion dollars…
In the Turkish seafood sector, where production and exports of Turkish salmon have been rapidly increasing in recent years, the target is to boost exports to over 1 billion dollars by 2035.
Sinan Kızıltan, Chairman of the Sectoral Council of the Turkish Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters’ Associations, stated that the harvest of Turkish salmon ends in July and that they anticipate all harvested Turkish salmon to be sold fresh and frozen by the end of the year.
“Turkish salmon exports will exceed 500 million dollars by the end of 2025. Türkiye will have over 1 billion dollars in Turkish salmon revenue by 2035 at the latest,” he said.
According to data from the Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters’ Association for January-June 2025, the country’s fishery exports reached 974 million dollars in the first half of 2025, an increase of 4 percent compared to the same period last year.
