Minister accused of exorbitant price, agricultural machinery sector pointed to input costs…
The statement of the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli that the exorbitant increases in the prices of agricultural machinery purchased by the farmer with a grant will be punished, had an echo in the sector.
In the industry’s statement, it was reported that surging input costs are pushing the agricultural machinery industry.
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli, emphasizing that the sellers who raise the machines they bought with the grant support, will be fined through the Competition Authority, said, “If we are giving 50 percent of something, we really have to give 50 percent. No one has the right to steal from my producer’s share and grant. The machine manufacturers should not be sorry.”
Following this rebuke of Minister Pakdemirli, the Turkish Association of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery Manufacturers (TARMAKBİR) made a written statement and underlined that rising input costs put the agricultural machinery sector in great trouble.
