Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said that they have restructured agricultural high schools in order to train qualified human resources in the field of agriculture. Minister Özer announced that the number of schools providing education in the field of agriculture reached 144 from 72, a spike of 100 percent compared to 2020.
The Ministry of National Education continues its efforts to contribute to the making of agricultural high schools in Türkiye’s agricultural base. Minister Özer stated that original projects were implemented in schools providing education in the field of agriculture.
3 NEW SCHOOLS TO BE OPENED…
“The problems experienced in the food supply chain on a global scale have brought the field of agriculture and animal husbandry to the fore as a much more important sector. We, as the Ministry, have implemented unique projects in order to restructure agricultural high schools, to train qualified human resources in the field of agriculture and to contribute to making our country an agricultural base,” Özer said.
“In this context, while the number of our schools providing education in the field of agriculture was 72 in 2020, we enhanced this number to 144 in 2023. There was an increase of 100 percent. However, we continue to work on the opening of 3 new schools,” Özer added…
