The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry published a guide on its official website on the production planning and support model, which started a new era in agricultural production.
Answering 33 questions, the guide aims to introduce this new model to producers. Minister İbrahim Yumaklı announced that this planning is a programme that determines how much and how to produce which product in which area by putting water at the centre.

WHAT IS IN THE GUIDE?
The guide covers agricultural planning centred on the effective use of water resources as well as innovations in the support model. Among the prominent issues are the following:
- How to benefit from agricultural support payments,
- Special support for women and young farmers,
- Leasing of agricultural land,
- Details of changes in subsidies.
The changes brought by the new model have been clarified with the answers to 33 questions that the public is curious about.
MINISTER YUMAKLI: ‘A LONG-TERM AND METICULOUS APPROACH’
In the foreword of the guide, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı stated that investment in agriculture contributes not only to the sector but also to all segments of society. Yumaklı explained that a planned and disciplined approach is needed for agricultural steps to have a lasting impact:
“Projects prepared on a daily basis may cause serious problems in the future as well as destroying the accumulations of the past. For years, people have been complaining about the lack of planning in agriculture. We have made great progress in this regard. By 2023, we have completed all legal arrangements related to planned agriculture.”
A VISION CENTRED ON WATER…
Yumaklı also emphasised that agricultural production planning is a discipline that determines how much and how to produce which product in which area. Pointing out that they have shaped Türkiye’s agricultural policies with a vision that will carry them both to the present and the future, Yumaklı added,
“As our President said, ‘The way to a strong Türkiye is through strong agriculture.’ In line with the goal of Türkiye’s Century, we will continue to work with all our strength to carry agriculture to the summit of productivity, quality, health, sustainability and competitiveness.”
TRANSFORMATION WITH THE NEW MODEL…
“This guide represents an important step towards a more planned, sustainable and competitive structure in agricultural production. This study, which is a guide for both producers and all stakeholders of the sector, draws attention as a strategic guide that shapes the future of agriculture,” Yumaklı concluded…
