HURİYE YAMANYILMAZ: MEDITERRANEAN EXPORTERS’ ASSOCIATIONS ACHIEVED EXPORTS OF 997 MILLION DOLLARS…

Huriye Yamanyılmaz, Coordinator Chairman of the Mediterranean Exporters’ Associations (AKIB) reported that their members exported $ 996.9 million in February.

Huriye Yamanyılmaz, Coordinator Chairman of the Mediterranean Exporters’ Associations (AKIB), said in a written statement that 5 out of 8 associations within the AKIB have achieved an increase in their foreign sales.

Yamanyılmaz stated that as AKIB, they supported the country’s exports by 6.9 percent in February.

“As the Association, we exported 996.9 million dollars in February. In this context, the chemical materials and products sector, which exports 236.4 million dollars, was followed by our fresh fruits and vegetables sector with 120.7 million dollars. Our textile sector increased by 15% to 87.6 million dollars, our furniture sector also increased by 12 percent to 84.3 million dollars, our ready-to-wear sector to 24.3 million dollars and our fisheries and animal products sector to 23 million dollars,” Yamanyılmaz added.

Yamanyılmaz concluded that they made the most exports to Iraq with $ 77.4 million in February, followed by Russia with $ 53.2 million and Germany with $ 48.1 million.
