The TURQUALITY Project named Turkish Tastes, which was implemented 6 years ago by the Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EIB) with the support of the Ministry of Trade in order to ramp up the export of Turkish food products to the United States of America, the world leader in food imports, organised a very magnificent tasting event.

Öztürk: We make 41 percent of food exports to the USA
Muhammet Öztürk, Chair of the Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters’ Association, stated that the cereals, pulses, oilseeds sector, which is the export leader of the food sector in Türkiye, also undertook the locomotive role in food exports to the USA and shared that they received a 41 percent share of food products exports to the USA in 2024.
Noting that 6 food sectors joined forces and worked in harmony in the Turkish Tastes Project, Öztürk said, “There are 3 years ahead of our Turkish Tastes Project. Our aim is to increase the exports of our sector to the USA to over 1 billion dollars in 2028. I believe that we will reach this target with the contributions of our Chefs, the B2B-oriented tasting events we will organise in the USA and the hybrid trade delegations we will organise.”
