Akın: ‘PETBIR will increase synergy in the sector’
Meltem Akın, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Cat and Dog Food Producers Association (PETBIR), said that they established PETBIR based in Salihli district of Manisa since 68 percent of Türkiye’s cat and dog food production is made in Manisa province.
Pointing out that their aim is to act in cooperation and solidarity by bringing together all stakeholders in their sector,’ Akın added, “Our cat-dog food sector has grown 800 percent in the last five years. We want to find solutions to the problems faced by our sector, strengthen trust between producers and consumers, raise awareness about pet nutrition in our country and increase our country’s share in the world market in cat and dog food production.”
