Türkiye is a dessert heaven!
In the ranking, which received over 144,000 votes, Türkiye’s desserts dominated the rankings. The most notable achievement was the selection of the famous Maraş ice cream as the 4th best dessert in the world.
TasteAtlas, the international gastronomy platform, announced its list of the “World’s 100 Best Desserts” on September 18, 2025. The list, determined by votes cast by hundreds of thousands of dessert enthusiasts, once again saw Turkish cuisine make a name for itself worldwide. Turkish desserts not only ranked overall but also ranked within the top 10. Maraş ice cream, in particular, was a significant achievement for Türkiye, being named the “4th best dessert in the world.”
Hundreds of desserts from around the world competed in the list published by TasteAtlas. Türkiye attracted attention with its traditional desserts in the voting.
Many Turkish desserts found their place in the overall rankings, further demonstrating the richness of Turkish cuisine in the dessert world.
