Istanbul Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters’ Association (İHBİR) announced the export figures of the grain industry for December and 2022.
According to this; Exports of grains, pulses, oilseeds and their products in Türkiye soared by 25.4 percent compared to the previous year and reached 11.5 billion dollars.
İHBİR’s exports in December increased by 25.7 percent compared to the previous year and reached 348.5 million dollars, while the Association’s 2022 exports grew by 22.4 percent compared to the previous year and amounted to 3.3 billion dollars.
In 2022, the countries to which Türkiye’s grain and pulses industry exports the most were Iraq, the United States of America, Syria, Libya and Yemen. İHBİR exported the most to Iraq, United States, Germany, Israel and England.
There are distant countries in the 2023 export target…
Kazım Taycı, Chairman of the Board of İHBİR, whose evaluations are included in the statement, pointed out that they will focus on distant countries in 2023 and also said that they will participate in important fairs in countries such as the USA market, China, Japan, Thailand and Vietnam in order to boost their market share and they will organize sectoral visits and purchasing committees.
Taycı emphasized that they aim to reach 15 billion dollars in exports with a hike of 30 percent in 2023, especially by rising the share of processed agricultural products.
