Press release…
“Restoring ecosystems”, that is, preventing, stopping and reversing the damage inflicted on the planet’s ecosystems, trying to move from exploiting nature to healing it.
This is the theme of this year’s World Environment Day, which will be celebrated
on June 5.
An important date that will kick off the United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, a fundamental condition for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.
People and the Planet are only healthy when the ecosystems we all depend on are healthy: all parts of society – from individuals and community groups to businesses and governments – involved in #GenerationRestoration, a global movement to restore ecosystems for the good of people and the planet.
The Barilla Foundation has always been at the forefront of ensuring that respect for the environment is considered a priority, starting with the promotion of healthy and sustainable diets.
To this end, the Double Health and Climate Pyramid encourages the adoption of eating habits that are healthy for humans and respectful of the Planet, reducing the impact of food choices on the environment and climate change.
