Explaining that they reached an export figure of 32 million dollars in 2024 as Marmarabirlik (Union of Olive Agricultural Sales Cooperatives) , Marmarabirlik Chairman Hidamet Asa said that they set the export target for 2025 as 37 million dollars. Asa stated that they aim to exceed the threshold of 40 million dollars in 2026.
Marmarabirlik, the largest black table olive manufacturer of the world, shared its foreign trade targets for 2025 with the public. Exceeding the targets set according to the year-end figures, Marmarabirlik announced the export and export registered foreign trade figure as 32 million dollars as of 28 December on the basis of calendar year.
“We are the only country in the world that produces with natural fermentation method. Although our target consumer group is predominantly ethnic population, we have reached our targeted export amount with 7 thousand tonnes of exported and export registered sales,” Asa said.
37 million dollars export in 2025…
Pointing out that the foreign currency return of 1.15 billion TL obtained with the revenues of the exports made is a great support to the budget of Marmarabirlik, Asa noted, “According to the data obtained from the Aegean Exporters’ Associations, although the export average of one kilogram of olives is 2.70 dollars, the exports made by Marmarabirlik is 4.91 dollars,”
“Again, according to the data of the Aegean Exporters’ Association, although there was a 22 percent decrease in exports in the olive-olive oil sector in 2024, Marmarabirlik reached the targeted export figure of 32 million dollars compared to the previous business year.
