Table olive exports from Türkiye soared by 49 percent in dollar terms…
In the 10-month period of the 2023-24 season, Türkiye ramped up its table olive exports by 15 percent from 152 million to 175 million dollars.
In the same period, table olive exports decreased from 84,749 tonnes to 65,325 tonnes on quantity basis.
While exports of table olives decreased by 23 percent in terms of quantity, the amount of foreign currency earned was 15 percent higher thanks to the 49.5 percent spike in the average export price.

Davut Er, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Aegean Olive and Olive Oil Exporters’ Association, stated that they aim to surpass 200 million dollars at the end of the season with the exports they will make in the remaining 2 months to complete the season in table olive exports.
“We aim to export 100 thousand tonnes of table olives in the 2024/25 season”
Emphasized that the homeland of olives is Anatolia, 500 thousand producers in 43 provinces across the country obtained 443 thousand tonnes of table olives in the 2023/24 season from more than 200 million olive trees, Er added, “We meet the needs of 85 million people in Türkiye and exported 65 thousand 325 tonnes to 116 countries.”
