Türkiye exported confectionery products to 184 countries…
The confectionery, Turkish delight and halva sector, which is manufactured from products grown in Anatolia and has a history of hundreds of years, sweetens the mouths of the world.
Türkiye’s exports of confectionery and chocolate confectionery products approached 2 billion dollars in the 11-month period. Exports of confectionery and chocolate confectionery products, which were 1 billion 735 million dollars in the January-November period of 2022, surged by 12 percent in 2023 and rose to 1 billion 939 million dollars.
Stating that the country’s exports of confectionery products was 920 million dollars in the January-October period of 2022, while it increased by 15.5 percent to 1 billion 43 million dollars in the same period of 2023, Muhammet Öztürk, Chair of the Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters’ Association, said that the export figure of chocolate confectionery products soared from 815 million to 896 million dollars.
The 2024 target for cereals, pulses, oilseeds exports is 15 billion dollars…
Underlining that as the cereals, pulses, oilseeds and products sector, they were by far the export leader among food sectors with exports of 10 billion 340 million dollars in the January-November period of 2022, Öztürk continued his words as follows; “In the 11-month period of 2023, the exports of our sector increased by 9 percent to 11 billion 274 million dollars. Confectionery products received a 17 percent share from the total exports of our sector. We aim to export 13 billion dollars at the end of 2023 and 15 billion dollars in 2024.”
