Underlining the strategic importance of the agriculture, livestock and aquaculture sectors for the future of our country, Ufuk Atakan Demir, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters Association, said, “I congratulate all our farmers who continue production throughout our country and deliver safe and high-quality food to our tables.”
“As the Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters Association, we consider the contributions of our farmers and producers, who work tirelessly at every stage of production, to be of great value,” Demir noted.
Pointing out that today, Türkiye is among the leading countries in Europe in aquaculture; it maintains its world leadership in sea bass and sea bream, Demir added, “The production and export success we have achieved in animal products also demonstrates the strong structure of our sector. The fact that our sector’s exports surpassed 4 billion dollars in 2025, this is the most concrete indicator of the hard work of our producers. In line with issues such as climate change, sustainability and food security, we continue to support efficient production, environmentally friendly practices and value-added production.”
“We also attach great importance to young people and women taking a more active role in production. On this occasion, I would like to thank all our farmers and producers who contribute to production with their labour and I wish them a fruitful and successful production year,” Demir concluded…
