ALPER TABAN: RASPBERRY HARVEST BEGINS IN İNEGÖL REGION

İnegöl (a district of Bursa province) Mayor Alper Taban visited the raspberry orchards in Bahçekaya region.

The harvest of raspberry, one of the dozens of crops grown in the fertile soil of İnegöl, has begun.

Mayor Alper Taban, who met with the producers in the raspberry field and received information about the raspberry fruit, wished the harvest period to be fruitful. It is expected that around 1 tonne of crop will be harvested from the Polka type raspberry fruit, which was started to be grown in Bahçekaya District for the first time this year. Polka variety raspberry stands out with its long shelf life and durability.

Alper Taban said, “Our İnegöl has very fertile lands. As the municipality, we continue to support our farmers. We support the agricultural development that we started with the slogan of Agriculture City İnegöl with the works we do at every stage. For example, while researching new products that can be grown in our fertile lands, we also try to increase the efficiency of our current productions.”

“We are working on this subject. We get opinions from the experts in the field, we follow the developments about new agricultural technologies closely. Then we transfer all these to our producers with our farmer trainings. As a result of these studies, our blueberry, echinacea and raspberry orchards have started to be established in our district,” Alper Taban added…
