Press release…
Geothermal energy, Türkiye’s only renewable energy source with base load capability, is becoming the focus of investments that create value for the Turkish economy in many different areas. Ali Kındap, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Geothermal Energy Association (JED), reminded that there are over 1,500 natural geothermal outlets in the Anatolian and Thracian geography and emphasized the need for a mobilization to spread investments, especially in energy, from the Aegean region to the whole country.
EASTERN ANATOLIA IS RICH IN GEOTHERMAL RESOURCES…

Kındap stated that the Eastern Anatolian provinces, primarily Ağrı, Muş, Bingöl, Elazığ and Van, possess very rich geothermal resources due to their tectonic structure, adding, “Geothermal energy is a completely ours; we don’t ask anyone for permission to use it, we don’t pay anyone any money; we produce continuously 24/7; it is a clean, renewable, and sustainable resource. In our provinces in the Eastern Anatolia Region, projects are being developed in all areas of geothermal energy use that will contribute to the development of the country’s economy.
