HISTORICAL PEAK IN ANIMAL FOOD EXPORTS; 3.86 BILLION DOLLARS…
Türkiye’s animal food exports amounted to 3.86 billion dollars in 2024. The fishery and animal products sector succeeded in increasing its export performance by 10.8 per cent in 2024 compared to the previous year.

Ali Can Yamanyılmaz, Member of the Sectors Council of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) and Vice President of the Mediterranean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters’ Association (ASHİB), announced that the most demanded products in export markets in the past year were fresh chilled fish, poultry meat and fish fillet, and that Iraq, Russia and Italy took the first three places in the list of countries they exported the most.
Ali Can Yamanyılmaz also stated that in the same period, ASHİB exported 381.7 million dollars with an increase of 20 percent.
‘We supported Türkiye’s total exports by 1.7’
Noting that the fisheries and animal products sector has a 1.7 percent share in the country’s exports of 262 billion dollars in 2024, Ali Can Yamanyılmaz said, “While global trade shows a recovery trend in the period dominated by geopolitical risks, energy crises and inflationary pressures, we have achieved significant success in animal food exports in Türkiye.”

“The growth we achieved was realised as a result of the right strategies, innovative product approaches and target-oriented studies despite the increasing competition in global markets. In particular, expansion into distant markets, branding investments and sustainable production approach were among the key factors that made this impressive rise possible.
