AEGEAN EXPORTERS’ ASSOCIATIONS INCREASE THE EXPORTS BY 16 PERCENT IN FEBRUARY…

The exports of the Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EİB) in February increased by 16 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and were recorded as 1 billion 172 million dollars.

As for Turkey’s exports, it amounted to 16 billion 12 million dollars in February.

EİB, which signed exports of 2 billion 234 million dollars with an increase of 4 percent in the January-February period, reached an export figure of 13 billion 83 million dollars in the last 1-year period.

Aegean Textile and Raw Materials Exporters’ Association had a rise of 65 percent and amounted to 27 million dollars in February, as a record holder in this month.

The Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporter’ Association increased its exports by 11 percent, leaving February behind with 90 million dollars.

Fresh fruit and vegetable exports soared by 12 percent to 19 million dollars, while exports of fruit and vegetable products rose by 22 percent to 59 million dollars. Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association has achieved exports of 79 million dollars with a 19 percent increase in total.

The Aegean Dried Fruit and Products Exporters’ Association left February behind with an export figure of 63 million dollars having an increase of 5 percent.

While Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters’ Association, rising 64 percent to 53 million dollars, Aegean Furniture, Paper and Forest Products Exporters’ Association brought 52 million dollars of foreign exchange to Turkey.

The exports of the Aegean Tobacco Exporters’ Association were recorded as 45 million dollars in February.

The Aegean Olive and Olive Oil Exporters’ Association, on the other hand, increased its foreign sales by 4 percent to 15 million dollars and the Aegean Leather and Leather Products Exporters’ Association had an export of 12 million dollars.
