Muhammet Öztürk: Turkish Tastes reaches culinary professionals in the USA

The latest event of the Turkish Tastes Turquality Project—run by the Aegean Exporters’ Associations to boost the visibility and market share of Turkish food products in the US market—took place as part of the Americas Food & Beverage Show, held at the Miami Beach Convention Centre from 14 to 16 September 2026.

In the food tasting area created under the “Turkish Tastes” brand, products from six agricultural and food sectors within the Aegean Exporters’ Associations were presented to industry professionals through menus prepared in Turkish, Modern American and Latin American cuisines.

At the fair, which brought together buyers, distributors, chefs and restaurant operators from various regions of the Americas – particularly Miami and the US East Coast – the ‘Turkish Tastes’ tasting area served as a promotional platform to directly showcase the applications of Turkish food products to culinary professionals.

Muhammet Öztürk, Coordinating Chairman of the Aegean Exporters’ Associations, stated that through the Turkish Tastes Project, which is carried out under the auspices of the Aegean Exporters’ Associations, they are approaching the US market with a long-term perspective, adding that the project has created an important foundation, particularly in terms of access to the HoReCa sector.

“The United States is one of the largest and most competitive markets in global food trade. To achieve sustainable success in such a market, alongside offering high-quality products, we also need to effectively communicate the story behind those products, their applications and how they can be integrated into different cuisines,” Öztürk said.

“This is precisely what we are doing with Turkish Tastes. We are demonstrating to chefs, buyers, distributors and restaurant professionals, through practical examples, what kinds of menus can be created using these Turkish food products,” Öztürk added…
