Agrobest Group has signed a strategic cooperation agreement to bring the plant protection products it has developed in Türkiye to the Saudi Arabian market. Announced at a ceremony held at the Giza Pyramids in Egypt, this move reinforces the country’s role in agricultural technologies whilst cementing the Turkish presence in the trade corridor between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

Türkiye’s Ambassador to Cairo, Salih Mutlu Şen stated that Egypt is very ambitious in agriculture and must remain so. “Both in terms of its domestic consumption and its exports to the world; it exports a wide variety of products, from oranges to mangoes and dates, right down to grapes,” he said.

Agrobest Group, a Turkish company operating in the agricultural sector, signed a contract to extend its partnership with its Egyptian partner Al Salam to Saudi Arabia at a ceremony attended by Türkiye’s Ambassador to Cairo, Salih Mutlu Şen and representatives of the Ministry of Trade in Egypt. While the signing ceremony between the two companies took place at the historic Giza Pyramids in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, it was also noted that a strategic step had been taken in line with growth targets in the Middle East, Africa and the Arabian Peninsula markets.

Eroğlu: Our domestic production capacity is merging with global networks

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Faruk Eroğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Agrobest Group, emphasized that they are the sector leader in Türkiye and operate in 26 countries worldwide. Eroğlu underlined that they have been conducting their operations in Egypt through Al Salam and have gained significant momentum in this process.

Noting that under the agreement, Al Salam will directly handle the sales in Saudi Arabia of products to be licensed by Agrobest Group in that country, Eroğlu added, “We will operate in the Saudi Arabian market by combining local production capacity with global networks”.
