FERRERO HAZELNUT COMPANY IS MAKING STRATEGIC INVESTMENTS IN SERBIA AND ITALY TO STRENGTHEN ITS SUPPLY CHAIN…
Ferrero has made three significant investments to accelerate and strengthen its global hazelnut supply through a sustainable and diversified sourcing strategy.

By strengthening its cooperation with Serbia, Ferrero has launched a new era that will accelerate the development of the hazelnut sector. In collaboration with the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, the company announced the development of the country’s first “Hazelnut Excellence Area” in the Western Bačka region.
Marco Botta, Global General Manager of Ferrero Hazelnuts, commented on the Serbian investments: “When we started this project, we were guided by a long-term development vision. Today, 11 years later, we can say that Serbia has become one of the most important pillars of European hazelnut production. Our goal is not just to supply, but to build a system that brings together knowledge, farmers, and institutions. Serbia is a successful example of how sustainable agriculture is built through patience and joint efforts. At Ferrero, we will continue to invest in education, research and the development of local communities.”
