Mehmet Ali Işık: Dried fruit exports from the Aegean Region exceed 1 billion dollars

Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association, which carries out 60 percent of Türkiye’s dried fruit exports alone, ramped up its exports by 17 percent in the last 1-year period from 857 million dollars to 1 billion 4 million dollars and was proud to exceed 1 billion dollars in exports.

Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association has become the seventh Association within the Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EIB) to export more than 1 billion dollars, while the number of food sectors exceeding 1 billion dollars under the roof of EIB increased to four with dried fruits.

Mehmet Ali Işık, Chairperson of the Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association, stated that they are the world’s dried fruit warehouse.

Pointing out that they are the first in the world in the production and export of seedless raisins, dried apricots and dried figs, and underlined that they are proud to exceed 1 billion dollars in dried fruit exports from the Aegean Region for the first time, he added, “We have managed to achieve this success by exporting to more than 100 countries with our strength arising from the production.”
