Gürdoğan: The most exported honey variety is pine honey
Eastern Black Sea Exporters’ Assocation (DKİB) Deputy Chairman of the Board Ahmet Hamdi Gürdoğan said that the most exported honey variety from Turkiye is pine honey.
Gürdoğan said, “Due to the forest fires that took place in the Aegean Region last year and that seared us, the production of pine honey took a big hit and this situation inevitably had a negative impact on exports.”
Emphasizing that they have high expectations for 2022 exports, Gürdoğan noted that they are hopeful that heavy snowfall will make a significant contribution to the vegetation and the production of flower honey will reach a significant level this year.
Ahmet Hamdi Gürdoğan added that emphasis should be placed on products with the brand name of honey and high quality small packages.
