While the tomato quantity index decreased by 7.28 percent compared to the previous year, the price index increased by 256.08 percent. While the vegetable quantity index increased by 3.22 percent compared to the previous year, the price increased by 161.03 percent. In fruit, the quantity index increased by 31.91 percent compared to last year, while the price increased by 15.51 percent.
Antalya Commodity Exchange (ATB) announced the February Antalya Wholesale Markets Tomato, Vegetable and Fruit Index. The changes in the index values of the transaction quantity and prices of tomatoes, vegetables and fruits traded in Antalya markets varied in February 2022 compared to the previous month and compared to the same month of the previous year.
Compared to the previous month, February indices decreased by 30.91 percent in tomatoes, 22.20 percent in vegetables and increased by 1.69% in fruits. Amount indices decreased by 7.28 percent in tomatoes, increased by 3.22 percent in vegetables and increased by 31.91 percent in fruits, compared to the same month of the previous year.
Changes in quantity indices decreased in tomatoes and vegetables, but increased slightly in fruits. These changes were remarkable for February of the last 7 years in all items.
