Türkmenoğlu said, “We held a trade delegation event in a virtual environment. We pioneered the virtual fair organization as an association for the first time in Turkey. At The Fource Virtual Food Fair, our 54 Turkish companies had the opportunity to meet online with many buyers from various parts of the world. In addition, with the agreement we made with the University of Las Vegas within the scope of our Turquality project, we included a programme about Turkish cuisine in the university curriculum and organized digital tasting events with American chefs.”

In the new period, the agenda of the sector is intense…

“Before the pandemic, we were planning to create clusters of fresh fruits and vegetables and processed fruits and vegetables with UR-GE (Product development) projects and to carry out promotional activities abroad with the companies in these clusters. Although we have not been able to carry out a physical activity until now, we have provided trainings on distance sales and marketing methods to our cluster companies,” Türkmenoğlu added.

“We will be able to implement our UR-GE and Trade delegations, which we have prepared very well during the pandemic process. We will continue our efforts to expand our markets with tasting and promotional events all over the world. Our goal will be to expand our potential markets as much as possible while maintaining our current markets,” Türkmenoğlu concluded…
