Bio-Solutions Offer Over 10.8 Billion Euros in Economic Value and the Potential for More Than 75,000 Jobs by 2035…

The “Value of Bio-Solutions in Türkiye” report shows that the bio-solutions sector in the country, currently generating an estimated 4 billion euros in production value, could more than double with the right policy support.

Prepared in collaboration with Amsterdam Data Collective (ADC), the “Value of Bio-Solutions: Growth and Prosperity Until 2035 – Türkiye Report” was officially launched at the JW Marriott Hotel Ankara with the participation of representatives from the public sector, industry, academia and the broader business ecosystem.

The newly released report reveals the increasing economic importance of bio-solutions in Türkiye and their potential to become a significant driving force for sustainable growth, innovation and resilience. This report, the first study to examine the economic footprint of bio-solutions specifically in Türkiye, provides a global analysis; This report brings together a detailed assessment of the country’s transformation potential in the fields of industry, agriculture, energy and sustainable development.

Bio-solutions can contribute to boosting industrial efficiency, using bio-based inputs, strengthening domestic value chains, supporting lower-carbon production and enhancing resource efficiency in many sectors.

“A strategic growth area for Türkiye”

Commenting on the report, Novonesis Türkiye Country Manager Pınar Tunçkol stated that bio-solutions are no longer just part of the sustainability agenda; they are increasingly becoming a strategic growth driver in terms of competitiveness, industrial transformation and economic resilience.

Pointing out that with its strong industrial base, production capabilities, agricultural potential and strategic regional location, Türkiye is in a very strong position to benefit from this transformation, she added, “This report demonstrates how bio-solutions, supported by the right policy and cooperation frameworks, can contribute to growth, high-quality employment, export competitiveness and sustainable development in Türkiye.”
