He unveiled that they exported 627 million dollars worth of pasta in the first nine months of 2025 and expect pasta exports to exceed 1 billion dollars by the end of the year.
New target for pasta exports: 1.5 billion dollars!
Emphasizing that they rank second after Italy in pasta exports, he said, “Türkiye is a strong player in the cereals, pulses, oilseeds and product sectors. We have an annual export volume of 12 billion dollars. We capture a 45 percent share of Türkiye’s food exports. Pasta further strengthens our position. Pasta accounts for 3.5 percent of the county’s total food exports. We aim to boost our pasta exports to 1.5 billion dollars.”
Highlighting that Turkish pasta has a strong presence around the world, from Europe to the Far East, from the Americas to Africa and from the Middle East to Latin America, he concluded, “Our high-quality durum wheat production and wide product range are our strengths. Türkiye alone accounts for 20 percent of global pasta exports. We export more than 70 percent of the pasta we produce. Our top three export destinations are Ghana, Somalia and Japan. Between January and September 2025, we exported 72 million dollars worth of pasta to Ghana, 68 million dollars to Somalia and 56 million dollars to Japan.”
