TURKISH HONEY EXPORTS INCREASED BY 15 PERCENT IN THE FIRST HALF…

Honey exports increased by 15 percent in January-June period, Turkey has earned 13 million 81 thousand 422 dollars.

According to data compiled from Eastern Black Sea Exporters’ Association (DKİB), in the first half of the year, 2 thousand 984 tons of honey was exported to 39 countries and 13 million 81 thousand dollars obtained in return.

Considering that 11 million 419 thousand 418 dollars of income was obtained from the export of 2 644 tons of honey in the same period of the previous year, Turkish honey exports increased by 13 percent in terms of quantity and 15 percent in value compared to the same period of the previous year.

Honey exports to USA increased by 60 percent…

The USA, Germany and Saudi Arabia were the most honey imported countries.

In the first 6 months of the year, 1313 tonnes of honey was exported to the US from Turkey and 5 million 161 thousand 744 dollars have been provided.

In the same period last year, 912 tonnes of honey was exported to the USA for 3 million 222 thousand 928 dollars. Thus, Turkish honey exports to the USA increased by 44 percent in quantity and 60 percent in value.

In the export of honey, USA was followed by Germany with 2 million 288 thousand 841 dollars and Saudi Arabia with 2 million 84 thousand 523 dollars.

In the first half of the year, honey also exported to Slovenia, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Yemen, Bangladesh, Hungary, Lebanon, Denmark, Djibouti, Panama, South Korea, Guinea and Finland from Turkey…
