LICENSED WAREHOUSE PERIOD BEGINS IN ANTEP PISTACHIO…

The chairman of Gaziantep Commodity Exchange Ahmet Tiryakioğlu stated that the product acceptance will begin in the harvest period this year in the Antep Pistachio Licensed Warehouse.

In his written statement, Tiryakioğlu said that the work has ended at the GATEM (Gaziantep Commerce and Industry Centre) Region and the Meat Exchange and Pistachio Licensed Warehouse built on the Gaziantep-Nizip motorway.

Tiryakioğlu explained that title deeds started to be given to the rightful butchers at the Meat Exchange established on an area of ​​approximately 30 thousand square metres and that the product acceptance will start in the harvest season this year in the Pistachio Licensed Warehouse.

Emphasizing that both projects contain many firsts for their own sectors, Tiryakioğlu added:

“The strategic importance of agriculture and livestock in the Pandemic process has been recognized more clearly. These structures, which was built for the protection of supply security will carry our province much further in their lane. Pistachio Licensed Warehouse is the first one which focuses only one product in Turkey. Our cultural product Antep pistachio is very important and valuable for us, so it is of great importance for us to increase the production of this crop.”

“In this context, we consider Pistachio Licensed Warehouse as an important investment in the future of the product. Our warehouse will start purchasing products during the harvest season this year. Moreover this Warehouse with a physical storage capacity of 10 thousand tons will provide the classification of the product in the laboratory, storage by class, easy trading with ELÜS (Electronic Product Certificates) and easy credit facilities from banks,” Tiryakioğlu concluded…
