Exports of fishery products from the Eastern Black Sea in the first half of 2024 surged by 11 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 89 million 788 thousand 193 dollars.
According to the information compiled from the data of the Eastern Black Sea Exporters’ Association (DKİB), exports were made to 24 countries in the last 6 months from the Eastern Black Sea, which has made a name for itself in the export of aquaculture products.
The export of fishery products from the region, which was recorded as 81 million 45 thousand 29 dollars in the January-June 2023 period, rose by 11 percent in the same period of this year to 89 million 788 thousand 193 dollars.
In terms of quantity, exports, which were 12 thousand 725 tonnes in the first half of last year, increased by 33 percent in the same period of this year to 16 thousand 929 tonnes.

The highest demand for seafood products came from the Russian Federation, Vietnam and Belarus. In the January-June period, 10 thousand 985 tonnes of seafood products were exported from the Eastern Black Sea Region to the Russian Federation, earning 55 million 554 thousand 210 dollars.
