According to the information compiled from Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TİM) data, Turkey’s exports rose by 42.2 percent last month compared to the same period of 2020 and reached to 18 billion 985 million 472 thousand dollars, while increasing by 17.3 percent in the first quarter of the year and went up to 50 billion 23 million 412 thousand dollars.
Turkey’s agricultural exports increased by 10.1 percent compared to the same period of the last year and climbed to 6 billion 621 million 84 thousand dollars.
Considering the exports of the agricultural sector in the first quarters up to now, January-March 2021 was recorded as the highest first quarter export in history.
In the first quarter of the year, Turkey’s industrial exports rose by 15.6 percent to 37 billion 218 million 155 thousand dollars, mining exports also rose 29.9 percent to 1 billion 215 million 414 thousand dollars.
Turkey’s agricultural exports accounted for 14.7 percent of total exports in the first quarter of 2021.
