Work is underway in Dilovası region of Kocaeli province for the mass production of the domestic and national electric tractor, which will provide 95 percent fuel savings to farmers, which was showcased on July 26, 2019 with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Developed by the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies (TAGEM) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the tractor will start mass production in 2021.
It is planned that the domestic tractor, whose production and assembly works are continuing, will come off the belt in October and start mass production in 2021.
The prototype of the domestic and national electric tractor was displayed in the factory in Dilovası district of Kocaeli. The tractor, which will be produced in the factory established in Dilovası, will be able to work for 7 hours with a 45-minute charging time. The electric tractor, which provides 95 percent fuel savings, is aimed to reduce the costs of farmers.
