Tiryaki Agro has more than doubled the size of its existing facility with a new 7,500 square metre land investment in Türkiye’s southeastern province of Gaziantep.

According to a statement from the company, Tiryaki Agro, which operates a total of 27 factories and processing facilities across 10 locations in three continents, is focusing on value-added pistachio products with its new investment in Gaziantep.
With this investment, the company aims to boost Gaziantep’s agricultural production capacity and export potential, thereby contributing to the regional economy and agricultural sustainability.
As one of Türkiye’s and the region’s leading nut suppliers, Tiryaki Agro processes Antep pistachios into both snack and industrial formats at its quality-certified, state-of-the-art production facilities in Gaziantep under the Lidya Nuts brand, supplying them to business partners around the world, including Europe, America, the Middle East, China and India.

The company also aims to make Antep pistachios more widely available and accessible worldwide in line with its 2030 strategic goals.
Antep pistachios were registered as a geographical indication for Gaziantep in 2000. Over 1 million tonnes of pistachios are produced worldwide each year. The country which has ramped up its production tenfold in the last 10 years, is attracting attention with its success in this field.
Türkiye ranks second in the world pistachio production with approximately 30 per cent share, following the United States. It ranks third in the world pistachio exports, following the United States and Iran.
With the efforts to spike the number of pistachio trees beginning to bear fruit, 2025 became the year with the highest pistachio production in the countryy. This positive development is expected to further increase Türkiye’s share in the pistachio market.
