International Nut and Dried Fruit Congress to be held digitally!
The International Nut and Dried Fruit Council-INC, where the road map of nut and dried fruit around the world is drawn, will be held online between 25-27 May 2021 this year due to the pandemic.
Nut and Dried Fruit Congress (INC), which is a member of 750 company and organization representatives around the world, is a member of the congresses held in a different country every year, statistics on the production and consumption status and estimates of the products, issues affecting trade, general promotion studies, scientific studies on its contributions are discussed.
Birol Celep, Chairperson of the Aegean Dried Fruit and Products Exporters’ Association, said that the highest consultation platform for dried fruits and nuts worldwide is the INC Congress.
“The representation and participation of our country, which is a leading producer and exporter in the world in the dried fruits and hazelnut industries, on such international platforms strengthens our industry. Projects aiming to increase the worldwide consumption of seedless raisins, dried figs, dried apricots and hazelnuts are among the priority agenda items of the INC Congress. Turkey-wide exports of dried fruits and products reached 1.4 billion dollars in 2020. 846 million dollars of this export was realized by our Association. We export to 162 countries,” Celep added.
“Our mission is to mediate the value-added export of the product of the Turkish manufacturer and to bring forward the dried fruit, whose positive effects on human health have been proven by scientific studies, in healthy food consumption, which stands out with the pandemic worldwide. During the three-day sessions, almonds, hazelnuts, dried figs, dried apricots, raisins, pine nuts, walnuts and other shelled / dried fruits will be discussed. Our member companies will also make presentations in the sessions,” Celep concluded…
