While Turkey obtained 347 million dollars from tangerine exports between January 1 – December 26, 2019, tangerine exports soared by 22 percent in the same period of 2020 and rose to 421 million dollars.
Hayrettin Uçak, Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Exporters Association (EYMSİB) Chairman, said that Turkey has exceeded the 400 million dollars target for 2020 that they had set previously for tangerine exports.
“While the Russian Federation was at the top with 234 million dollars in tangerine exports, we sent tangerines worth 55 million dollars to Ukraine,” Hayrettin Uçak noted.
“The third country to which we exported the most tangerines was Iraq with an amount of 37 million dollars. Turkey has managed to achieve to make tangerine exports to 67 countries in 2020,” Hayrettin Uçak added…
