Southeastern Anatolia’s cereals, pulses, oilseeds and products exports reach 1.2 million dollars…

Southeastern Anatolia’s exports of cereals, pulses, oilseeds and products reached 1.2 billion dollars with an increase of 9.9 percent in the first 4 months of the year. The sector, which realised 30.9 percent of the Southeast’s total exports, became the region’s most exporting field of activity. In this period, 337.8 thousand tonnes of pasta, 320.5 thousand tonnes of wheat flour and 135.7 thousand tonnes of sunflower oil were exported with an increase of 7.9 percent to 1.5 million tonnes.

Of the country’s 366 million dollars worth of sunflower oil exports, 54.9 percent, equivalent to 201 million dollars, was exported from the Southeast. The region’s share in Türkiye’s pasta exports worth 288.5 million dollars was 67.7 percent with 195.5 million dollars.

Iraq, where exports decreased by 8 percent in the 4-month period and reached 350 million dollars, continued to be the biggest export market of the region. Exports to Syria, which ranked second, surged by 39.1 percent to 122.8 million dollars…
