The cereal sector exports in the Southeastern Türkiye reached 3.2 billion dollars…
The cereals, pulses, oilseeds and products sector in Southeastern Anatolia continued to lead, accounting for 29.6 percent of the region’s exports, which reached approximately 11 billion dollars in 11 months.
Sectoral exports rose by 4.4 percent to 3.2 billion dollars in the January–November period. Pasta was the product with the highest export value at 557.4 million dollars, while sunflower seed oil exports reached 543.9 million dollars, up 18.2 percent, with unit prices rising by 21.6 percent. Sweet biscuit and wafer exports, which surpassed wheat flour to take third place, amounted to 339 million dollars.
Iraq remained the largest market with 871.9 million dollars, despite a 15.4 percent decline, while exports to Syria rose by 47.7 percent to 369.4 million dollars, partially offsetting this loss. Exports to the US increased by 37.2 percent to reach 265.8 million dollars, placing the country among the region’s top three markets.
