“RUSSIA’S TOMATO EXPORT QUOTA HIKED TO 500 THOUSAND TONNES”

Press release…

The quota in tomato exports to Russia increased to 500 thousand tonnes…

The quota of 350 thousand tonnes in Türkiye’s tomato export to Russia was increased to 500 thousand tonnes.

It is a decision that will enable us to reach the target of 500 million dollars that we set for 2023 in tomato exports.”

While Türkiye’s tomato export was 247 million dollars in the January-June period of 2022, it rose to 326 million dollars with a spike of 32 percent in the same period of 2023. While Romania is at the top with tomato demand of 61 million dollars, 51 million dollars of tomatoes were sent from Türkiye to Ukraine. Poland took the third step of the summit with a demand of 38.6 million dollars, followed by Germany with 35.5 million dollars and Russia with 29.5 million dollars…
