Stating that they told the world that safe food is produced from seed to fork in Anatolian lands through URGE (Development of International Competitiveness) Projects, Hayrettin Uçak, Head of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and vegetable Exporters’ Associations (EYMSİB), said, “We were the first exporter association to initiate the fourth URGE Project among our 12 exporter associations under the roof of the Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EIB).
Emphasing that they are also eager for the fifth URGE Project, he explained, “Our Ministry of Trade provides 75 percent support to our projects. We want to strengthen our position in markets such as China, India, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, especially in the Far East. We aim to reach the export target of 10 billion dollars in the fresh fruit and vegetable and fruit and vegetable products sectors with URGE, TURQUALITY Projects, fairs, sectoral trade delegations.”

Pointing out that they have started a new Development of International Competitiveness Project that will be as successful as the Target Markets in Fresh Cherry, Grape and Pomegranate Products Development of International Competitiveness Project, which has resulted in a historical success, he added, “Our members who heard about the success of our project from both the press and the participating companies showed great interest in this project. The number of applications to our Turkish Fresh and Processed Fruits and Vegetables Cluster URGE Project has reached 41. We made a fast start today. I hope that this time our project will make more noise and our contribution will continue to bring foreign currency to our country.”
“We aim to boost the exports of our Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association from 1 billion 330 million dollars at the end of 2023 to over 2 billion dollars in 2028,” he concluded…
