Emphasizing that Türkiye is the world’s food warehouse, Mehmet Ali Işık, Head of the Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association, said, “We are among the world’s largest suppliers of many food products, especially dried fruits, olives, olive oil, olive oil, aquaculture products, fruit and vegetable products, spices, vegetable oils, cereals, pulses, flour, bakery products, fresh fruit and vegetables, animal products.”

Pointing out that they have reached an export potential of 1 billion dollars in the organic sector, he explained, “We aim to export 2 billion dollars in the organic sector. For this purpose, each of our sectors is launching TURQUALITY Projects and Development of International Competitiveness Projects (URGE) within the framework of the support provided by the Ministry of Trade to our exporters for clustering and marketing in order to promote in the markets where they are strong.”

“We organise fairs, sectoral trade delegations and procurement delegations. In 2024, we will participate in the US Fancy Food Fair as well as the China Import Fair. The number of fairs we organise National Participation Organisation will be completed to 5,” he added.

Held on 14-16 March 2024 at the Anaheim Convention Centre in Anaheim, California, Natural Products Expo West attracted more than 65,000 industry professionals to the Anaheim Convention Center, with a total of 3,300 companies participating on approximately 50,000 m2.

More than 3,300 exhibitors from around the world showcased their organic and conscious products, including Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), natural foods and lifestyle products. The event addressed sustainability, women’s health, healthy ageing and regenerative products. The live trade fair area hosted crowded community sessions and standing-room-only keynote speeches.

At the Türkiye Pavilion, Turkish coffee was served to visitors in the trend area and an olive and olive oil tasting activity was organised, while dried fruit and spice packs were distributed.
