Mustafa Terci, Chairperson of Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters’ Association, said that cereals, pulses, oilseeds and products sector alone carries out 41 percent of Turkey’s food exports.
Mustafa Terci said, “The cereals, pulses, oilseeds and products sector, which alone accounts for 41 percent of Turkey’s food exports, achieved new successes in the January-September period of 2021.”
Pointing out that the 9-month export performance of cereals, pulses, oilseeds and products sector reached to 6.4 billion dollars with an increase of 19 percent compared to the same period of 2020, Terci added, “While our crops, which are produced in the fertile lands of Anatolia, the homeland of agriculture, are exported to all over the world, Iraq is the country to which the most exports are made in Turkey, followed by Syria, USA, Yemen, Iran, Djibouti, Libya, Germany, Venezuela and Israel.”
