Egg prices are skyrocketing! Producers warned.
Drawing attention to the increase in egg prices, YÜSAD Chairperson Metin Akman said that if no action is taken, egg prices will continue to rise.
Head of Egg Producers, Products and Industrialists Association (YÜSAD) Metin Akman pointed out that the increase in egg prices may continue and asked for an “urgent action plan”.
Akman said, “When you look at inflation, the inflation of eggs is close to the producer price index. In the following months, egg prices will boost in line with the inflation trend, it is inevitable.”
“Otherwise, food inflation in eggs will be much higher. Because the supply will decrease, the supply may decrease more than the demand, despite the decreasing demand, we may face higher prices,” Akman added…
