Mersin becomes the partner city of Interfresh Eurasia Fair…

Since 2018, Türkiye’s East Mediterranean province of Mersin has become the ‘Partner City’ of Interfresh Eurasia Fair, which has been organised since 2018 and has become Türkiye’s showcase of the fruit and vegetable sector in the world.

Mersin province, with its citrus fruits, fruit and vegetables, flavours, institutions and NGOs related to agriculture, will leave its mark on the Interfresh Eurasia Fair, which will be held in Izmir on 26-28 September 2024.

Fruit, Vegetable, Food, Food Products, Food Products, Food Technologies, Packaging, Agricultural Technologies, Storage and Logistics sectors will meet at Interfresh Eurasia Fair, the first and only exhibition of the sector in Izmir on 26-28 September 2024.

Murat Özer, General Manager of Antexpo Fuarcılık, who informed that Mersin is among the top three cities in agricultural production in the country, said, “Mersin and Izmir, which hosted the International Citrus Congress in 2022 and the National Citrus Workshop in 2024, exported a total of nearly 5 million tonnes of agricultural products in 2023 and ranked first in Türkiye with 1.5 million tonnes of Fresh Fruit and Vegetable exports and is also among the top three (3) provinces in the production of 30 agricultural products, will join forces at the Interfresh Eurasia Fair. Professional buyers from 55 countries will establish long-term business partnerships with our exporter companies from Mersin and Izmir.”

Özer invited all agricultural stakeholders to the Interfresh Eurasia fair, which will take place in Izmir on 26-28 September 2024 and added, “A wide range of products consisting of fresh fruit and vegetables, frozen fruit and vegetables, canned fruits, dried fruits and fruit juices will take place at Interfresh Eurasia Fair. We will bring together our exporters and important market chains in Izmir on 26-28 September in order for our exports of these products, which is 8 billion dollars, to exceed 10 billion dollars next year.”
