JAPANESE GIANT TO PRODUCE 35 TRACTORS PER DAY IN TORBALI…

Yanmar, the world’s leading Japanese engine manufacturer, chose Izmir’s district Torbalı for investment. The factory, which is the company’s second production facility in Türkiye, is planned to assemble 35 tractors per day. The facility will increase the number of personnel from 76 in the first stage to 125 in a short time.

Torbalı, one of the locomotive regions of Izmir province and Türkiye’s economy, has added a new one to the giant companies it hosts. Japanese-based Yanmar Türkiye Makine A.Ş., one of the world’s leading companies in the production of industrial engines, construction machinery, agricultural machinery and equipment, energy systems, marine vehicles and equipment, has signed a factory investment in Torbalı on an area of 25 thousand m2.

The tractors to be assembled in the region will be exported to the Middle East and African markets, especially Europe. Abdülvahap Olgun, Chairperson of Torbalı Chamber of Commerce, who received information about the investment from Gökçen Tarkan Aydoğan, Factory Manager and his team together with Volkan Karatoklu, Vice President of Yanmar Türkiye, said, “Yanmar Türkiye will be one of the important export companies of our district with a production capacity of 35 tractors per day.”

Second production facility in Türkiye…

Stating that they were pleased with the visit of Abdülvahap Olgun and his team in Torbalı, Factory Manager Gökçen Tarkan Aydoğan added: “We are launching our second production facility in Türkiye in Torbalı. Currently, we have started working with 76 personnel and we plan to enhance this number to 125 in the near future. We are very happy to be here. As Yanmar Türkiye family, we will endeavour to work hard to make our country a production, logistics and engineering base.”
