The Turkish food industry aims to boost its exports to the United States, the world’s largest food importer, to 2 billion dollars. The Turkish food industry will participate in the Summer Fancy Food Show Fair, the largest food fair of the New World, on 12-14 June 2022, with 32 companies, in order to make new export connections to the USA.

Aegean Exporters’ Associations Coordinator Chair Jak Eskinazi stated that they have been successfully organizing the Turkish National Participation Organization of the New York Summer Fancy Food Show Fair for 25 years and that the Turkish food industry exceeded 1 billion dollars in 2021 for the first time in the USA, which imports 130 billion dollars of food annually. He also said that they aim to carry this export performance to 2 billion dollars in the next 4 years.

Eskinazi shared the information that 2,600 companies from 55 countries participated in the New York Summer Fancy Food Show Fair and said, “As Turkiye, we will take our place with 32 companies in an area of ​​473 m2. A tasting event will be held by Chef Özlem Oğuzcan at the stand of the Turkish brand for three days and the target products will be included in the menus and the visitors will taste Turkish delicacies, each more beautiful than the other.”
