Ferhat Gürüz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mediterranean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Association, stated that Türkiye’s fresh fruit and vegetable exports in 2023 reached 3 billion 491 million dollars with a spike of 18 percent compared to the previous year.
“Despite the earthquake disaster, the global economy and domestic problems, we crowned the 100th anniversary of our Republic with an export record by working in devotion and solidarity with all sector dynamics. I would like to express my gratitude to our members, our sector and our sector stakeholders who made us experience this great pride,” Gürüz said.

Emphasising that the Mediterranean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, which carries out the coordination and secretariat services of the fresh fruit and vegetable sector, achieved an export volume of 1 billion 530 million dollars in 2023, Ferhat Gürüz noted, “We continue to be in the leading position throughout the country with a 45 percent share of the sector’s exports.”
Indicating that the Mediterranean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association has made great efforts to solve the problems experienced in export markets and to increase market diversity, Gürüz added, “We are very happy to see the positive reflections of our efforts to further strengthen the perception of ‘Quality Turkish Goods’ in export reports.”
